Air compressor

Well my 18 year old air compressor has given up the ghost. I need that thing like a 3rd thumb. I put in a new check valve and it ran fine for a few days. Then it would only charge up to 75lbs. Last night I tore into the pump, what a train wreck... And parts are obsolete. Crossing my fingers for a bush fix with gasket sealer and a new head bolt. If my "Billy" fix doesn't work then I must purchase a new one . But after 18 years I suspect i got my money's worth out of it... IDK...

That's a good long life if you were using it pretty regularly . I could use one, but I don't have the extra cash

sorry I missed this thread. if you still habe the old compressor change the run capacitor and start capacitor.

It's far worse than that... It starts and runs but will only get to 60lbs. The ring on the piston is shot (oil-less) and the head gasket is all tore up. Parts are obsolete, it's 18 years old... I think I got my money's worth out of it.

I've go plans for the tank to become the firebox when I build my smoke house.

oh gotcha. I thought the motor was stopping at 60lbs.
