@CrealCritter , which vac sealer did you upgrade to? I have the Food saver titanium which is their "commercial equal" but don't like the amount of extra bag needed to fit in to seal... it will seal bag after bag though with no waiting inbetween like the smaller ones need. I have a smaller Food saver and can just put in a little bit of the end of the bag and save more that way. Friends have the LEM brand and like it... they do alot of deer meat and other stuff... I also have a friend that has the "commercial grade" Cabela's and they like it.

Were you talking about the oval sealing "o ring" that you couldn't get? I have found replacements for them several places...
It gotta weigh about 30 lbs. Has a lot of vacuum. Will seal 16" wide bags, makes an air break sound when it's done sealing. So far I really like it.

My food saver titanium will seal 16" bags also... and it is a heavy one too... Aside from having to put the bag in farther to seal, I have been fairly happy with it... They cost over $400 new, got this one for less than 300... and then came across a 2nd one a couple weeks later for a little less than 300.... now they don't make them anymore... but I have a backup if I need it...
I looked at the Weston one, like you got... all feedback was good and thought seriously when the titanium one came up.... I would not be opposed to getting a different one if I liked it better though... but yes, has to seal 16" as most of the poultry I have done won't fit in a 12" mouth bag....

Does yours have the hose adapter for jar sealing?? That was a selling point for me on this titanium....

Yes @CrealCritter that is the one I got. Like so much stuff, when they first came out, they were more expensive... And I managed to find 2 within a month that were new in box on e-bay... the first one for right around $300.... then the second one was someone who obviously bought it and didn't like it or something... anyway... got it for $275 with shipping free.... Was going to sell the second one, moved into the house here, things got put on the back burner. So still have both.
The maintenance kit is great... I would like one of them.
As far as I can find, Food saver no longer makes the Titanium Game Saver... not on their website. It is a horse, is heavy and "stays put" on the counter...
Works good, and yes, you can seal bag after bag... which my little counter top one could not do... but I liked being able to use "less bag" stuck in the machine to get it sealed....

I like ebay I can find some good deals there occasionally.

If you are happy with Food Saver Titanium Game Saver, that's really all that counts. Plus you got a backup when the primary fails.

I think I would still look for gaskets and heat strips for it though. Those are considered maintenance parts for some of the other brands.

I found this on ebay not sure if it will fit your model or not? But others with Food savers might want to consider it, if it'll work with their models. Good to have on hand when in the middle of a vacumn sealing party and the sealer stops vacuuming or sealing.
