I saw my neighbor hanging hers. I have wanted a clothline since she put hers in last year. I am making one. Dh bought me a metal umbrella one that broke the first time I set it up. Not MY fault the cheap thing broke.

No line drying at the apartment. Denver actually has a law against it :gig

It looks "trashy" and ghetto to have laundry lines on every patio :(

I cheat though. I DO hang all my handwash out on the patio, so NYAH!

Seriously!? There is a law against line-drying your clothes! I would cheat too; that is rediculous.

Line drying for me isn't great.
I love sheets on the line flapping in the wind.
Hate, hate how my towels are so rough they could cut ya literally...tried it all and still going to use dryer for towels.
I hang out some stuff, others I keep in that dryer! :)
best of both worlds I guess :p

And I was bummed b/c I didn't have a load to hang up. :hu
HA! Me too :)
Darn DH and his washing all the clothes before I got home. ;)
I personally love the feel of a line dried towel. Spa like exfoliation.
Hey Abi, didn't CO pass a state law that prohibits laws that prohibit stuff like that? Against HOAs I think, but still?

I'm not sure if they finally banned those bans, actually. I know it was city ordenance a year ago... But they are changing rules for energy frugality.... I know our apartment itself has that rule and that IS allowed, and almost all denver apartments have that rule.

I could test it and start doing a small line on the north porch :D

Just checked the weather forecast. I have single-handedly ended the drought in Colorado by putting up a clothes line.

You're welcome.
:gig

We needed you here last year!

I'll try to hold that thought as I dry myself with this scratch towel.

I alternate my laundry loads. Heavy to the dryer, light goes on the line. I can do twice as much in a day this way. So no crusty towels, but the sheets, t shirts and undies all get sunshine.

I can smell certain fabric softener from 10 ft away. It makes m ill. :sick I love the smell of sunshine on my clothes.

Mattemma, you might want to try a pulley system. If you set it up right you can hang lots.
