The tablet sounds lovely - and will give her something to keep busy with while she is recuperating.

All went well with the DW surgery friday, i got to bring her home on saturday, been busy being a nurse aid, mom, dad and everything else. Havent had much time for the computer. Oldest DD is at the house now to help her mom while i go to work. So she isnt alone. lol i now know how hard it is for the single parents, hopefully in a couple of weeks DW will be able to move about better. I will post when i can.

Also messed up my website and have to redo it. But thats for another day.

We are still on track for moving in march :) I'm so excited seems like time has stopped. 87 more days till the move!! :)

Sorry i havent posted in awhile, been really busy taking care of everything with the DW and kids, well its been 2 weeks now since her surgery and she is doing well. I got my solar panels i ordered. I bought 4- 80 watt panels from a company called www.solarblvd.com they have the best price i have found. So i have the wind generator from gudcraft and 320 watts of solar panels, i plan on buying 2 more panels which will give me 480 watts total.

We are down to 75 days till we move to our off grid homestead. We are still selling what we can and going thru things that we are taking. We are excited but at the same time scared too if that makes sense. We have to make it there, we have nothing left here to come back too, no home, no job and no money. Our money will be very limited for travel and setting up once we get there. We may have to seek out a food bank till we get on our feet there.

The banks here sure are in a hurry to put people out in the street and then they sit vacant for months. I watched the sheriff throw out our neighbor last weekend, it was sad. lol i guess were next.

Well Merry Christmas to everyone and Happy New Year incase i dont get back online before then.

Hi all, sorry i havent posted in awhile, here is our latest news, DW has healed from surgery and doing great!!! We purchased us a 1993 ford f-150 with 109,983 miles on it and got it for 1600.00 runs and drives great, were taking it with us for our homestead truck, we been selling off our things and i traded my jon boat for a nice trailer to pull behind the truck. We moved up our leave date, we are leaving on Feb. 18th for our homestead in Arizona, we are so busy going thru stuff and just taking what we need. I only will be working for 2 more weeks at my job unless they decide to tell me to hit the road, the guy i work for is a real jerk, not a nice person.

We will be posting pictures of our move out west, im really dreading the drive and gas just seems to keep going up. When we get there i am sure we are going to have a ton of questions on how todo certain things. We will be totally off the grid.

We are excited!!!

Don't know how I missed this thread B4. I just read it all. Glad your wife healed up fine. Did they remove everything, or just the uterus?

Right now, my DH is waiting on me hand and foot. I'm enjoying it.

For the first couple of weeks it was hard, i worked all day come home and take care of everything else, i seen what it is like for a single parent and i only had 2 weeks of it, so my heart goes out to them. DW is busy going thru our closet right now hehe im taking a break!!
