I'm hoping it's just that they don't have any internet connection where they are.

I think that's probably it... I thought I had read somewhere that they were going to be able to tether through their smartphone, but I couldn't find that post. They may not even have cell reception where they are. :/

We made it safe and sound on tuesday around 1 pm no vehicle troubles at all :D Finally got setup enough to jump on line and let everyone know. Made the DW a washing machine, 2 5 gallon buckets and a plunger, dug a hole and set a post in concrete for her solar powered clothes dryer. Feels good to be off the road and finally starting on the homestead. we will keep everyone posted and pictures coming soon :)

And yes im using my smartphone as a hotspot hehe :)

Congratulations on your successful trip. Now the real journey will begin. This is an exciting time, not only for you and your family but for the world. You are starting out as "Adam and Eve" on a new adventure and since the world appears to be headed for collapse, both financially as well as socially, you probably won't notice it...at least not right away.

We wish you "the best of all possible worlds" and anxiously await the "tales from the farm" as you start your new life.
