I have made really awesome baked chips using a similar method. Cutting up tortillas into strips, brush them with lime juice and sprinkle on chili powder, then bake 10 minutes or so in a single layer. I just about can't make them as fast as they got eaten!
I am so thinking about homemade tortillas. I found a place that made them fresh all day near my old house, and haven't been able to eat the packaged kind since then. I FINALLY found a place near me that doesn't make them, but they do get fresh-made every day. I love Mexican food, so I stock up when I go there.
