Thanks! It definitely has its challenges, but I think most places do in some way. (I, however, would like to NOT live in a desert! )

My husband and his father's side of the family lived in Hesperia when I met him. We are in the Central Valley south of Fresno now, and they live east of Sacramento. I agree with the 'NOT' living in the desert sentiment. I grew up in rainy, north-coastal Oregon.
