Baking Soda for a cold...WARNING>>>page 2 PLEASE READ!

I have a book around here somewhere by an Italian doctor who believes and has done studies using sodium bicarbonate to treat cancers. Yes I know it is a bit out there but it has to do with the acidic balance in the human body and so on.

My Auntie recommended it during my husbands battle. It is called Cancer is a Fungus, by Dr. T.Simoncini an Oncologist. It is an amazing read.

Anyways, I gargle with baking soda now at the first sign of sinus, or throat issues. Does the trick every time.

Can't you achieve similar results by taking acv? I thought I read somewhere that it does the same thing.

I really have no idea. I was just amazed at how many different things I saw and read that all related baking soda. It really is interesting.

I was too! I will definately have to stock up on some boxes of baking soda!

A little warning about baking soda uses internally...baking soda is a salt, so use sparingly...it can cause cardiac arrest if misused...and I won't let my daughter use it because of her heart murmer. I learned this only because I was going to advise my daughter to use it for her cold and decided that it might not be the best thing for her with an existing heart condition. Look further into it if you have any underlying heart conditions please!~

My FIL used Baking soda for heartburn on a regular basis,...he passed away from a bleeding ulcer. I believe it can have more ill effects than its worth. IMHO that is.

I drank two glasses of baking soda solution yesterday. I ended up feeling a little bloated after the first glass, so I only had one more before bed time.
I slept a whole lot better and longer. I also did not use up a roll of toilet paper to blow my nose last night nor am I needing to cough as much.
I don't know if this is because this cold has run it's course or because of the baking soda. I will have another glass of it tonight though.
I think gargling with this at the first sign of a sore throat might be a good alternative to drinking it.
