As for leftovers, I love a pile of BBQ pork over a bed of coleslaw! YUM!!!
Now you're speaking my language! DH always makes fun of my coleslaw & bbq. I swear he's a yankee in disguise...

Free, it totally needs the vinegar-ness. Glad you liked it! Did you make the NT version? Mine lacks a certain I don't know what... But I'm doubtful about the fish sauce.

I vote for Carolina Style sauce - ACV, red pepper flakes, little mustard, garlic, hot sauce if you like - maybe a touch of home made ketchup. :drool

I grew up in VA and every time I get a little home sick I cook up a pork shoulder and go crazy on the vinegar sauce!!! It's even better the next day!
:drool Blue Skys, thank you for posting this recipe for BBQ sauce. I can't handle too much sugar, so BBQ sauce was always "on the side" for me.

I just whipped this up and it is delicious! We are having slow cooked pulled pork sholder in this yummy BBQ sauce. Served Dace's sytle over a big bed of fresh made coleslaw. :drool

It should be ready by dinner-time.

I made a version for my daughter with a little honey added, it was yummy too! :thumbsup

Posting it made me had to have it. That's what was for dinner last night - with homemade slaw (similar sauce, only I use dijon mustard, a little honey and celery seeds with no hot sauce) and I broke down and made some hush puppies. It was heavenly - I can't wait to eat it again for lunch here soon!

It's by far my favorite meal ever!

I used dijon mustard too, it is all I have on hand. It is still not too late to add celery seeds...hmmm.

The version I made for my daughter is so yummy too. I have to hide it in the fridge or I will be tempted to do random taste tests. :p

Put beer in the sauce when you go to put it on the meat!!! Adds a lovely tang to it.... :D
