Recaulk EVERY YEAR? Hummm...not sure we would remember!

No...not recaulk......RESEAL just the grout so it doesn't mildew from moisture.


Most every cermaic tile I have ever seen is the same color all the way thru, with a glaze fired into the surface. If they get chipped they are still the same color. Changing just one tile that may get broken is no big deal. Easy as changing a flat tire.

And grout! HA! Anyone who has boys who don't take thier shoes off ends up with grout that is sh*tty brown. Don't pick a nice colour for your grout...trust me on this one...it all ends up being sh8tty brown in the end anyway. Can you tell I hate tile??? LOL!

Ah, the trick is to just use brown grout - you can get it in different colors.

The grout line is always an issue. Who really likes to clean? I have to agree tile is the answer. Most people picture small tile but I would do 12x12 on the floor and 12x12 in the tube or shower area. The rest of the walls half way up with small tile and a nice deco trim on top at 4 ft high. Sealing 12x12 tile is quick and saves a lot of cleaning time. The small fuss to do it every yr is minimual. Just my 2 cents of OPINION
