I often wish we lived closer together and could meet up. I have a feeling we'd have a lot of fun together!

I picked 27 squash today!!! :weee:weee:weee I am so excited to actually be able to pick something! I am going to shred most of it for squash fritters and put them in the freezer.
Finally! Something to show (and eat) from the garden!

Nice squash. I'll bet those fritters will be tasty! So far, all I have picked here is lettuce and strawberries...a lot of each. I wish someone would develop a tomato that didn't take 65 -90 days to develop and ripen! I can't wait for my tomato sandwiches.

At the height of tomato season, we have what we call tomato supper. We both pile a plate up with sliced tomatoes, salt them and chow down!

I hate to admit this. But I've never had squash. I got shudders every time I tried it. I think the name turned me off to it when I was little.
