I went to see a house with my real estate agent and there were 3 holes in the roof...they wanted $205000 for that house. Now when we walked in there was a hole in the living room roof the size of a recliner covered with a tacked up hospital sheet (I know because it said property of).
The thing that baffled me was that they had 2 sets of living room furniture (one nice leather set) and a 42 inch flat screen tv.
Now, I ask you...where are their priorites? I just hate it when people whine and "oh poor pitiful me" when they have the means to fix something like that.
I think being rich or poor is about priorities and how you use the money you do have. There are lots of people that are "poor" monitarily but rich in other ways. I think we all would like to have a little more money but the question always goes back to "what would you do with it if you had more?"
So many people get into trouble because when they get a raise or bonus or better job they adjust their lifestlye to fit their money. Instead of spending the same and putting away more they always manage to spend more and put away less and wonder where did it all go.
