My husband (a non horse person) spent a lot of time with us at 4-H horse events when the kids were little. One day, out of the blue he looked at me and said, "Man if I had known when I was a kid how MANY girls love horses I would have been begging for a pony!"

It cracked me up!!

Eventful weekend here...I am currently in OH at my sister's house. Came down to the old home place to attend a Honey Bee Expo...no surprises there...no one was teaching anything on TBHs at all. One of the committee members had barely even heard of them! Tables full of expensive equipment, classes on the many different ways to manipulate bees for maximum production and to prevent or treat diseases....NOT what I was looking for at all.

Also saw an old acquaitencewho told me that an old flame was looking for me....incidentally, this is an old flame that was THE flame of my life and I have been thinking about him an awful lot lately. Funny how that goes isn't it? Some of the people with whom we shared a close spiritual link will sometimes be almost summoned by our thoughts?

Now, don't read anything into it....this is now more an affair of the souls than anything romantic or sexual.... ;) Still it was good to know that he thinks of me sometimes still.

Talked to one of the Toxic Trio and she admitted to stealing all of Mom and Dad's stuff out of their house and "donating it to charity". Her reason? She felt that Mom deserved it! Can we say "psycho" boys and girls? :duc

Went to Lowes this weekend....man, it sure is fortunate that I never get to shop there! I would buy the whole store out if I could! LOVE that store! :love I can definitely see how folks can get carried away with consumerism....everything is so pretty!

Anyone get a chance to see The Blind Side movie, this is an excellent movie! Great role for Sandra Bullock and she does it so very well. Two thumbs up on this movie! :thumbsup :thumbsup This lady reminds me a little of myself..... My boys said, "MOM, it's YOU!" :gig

She sounds a bit like my aunt Lucy. She locked my grandmothers mobile home, so we couldn't get into it to get anything out. Not that aunt Lucy wanted any of it for herself, she just didn't want any of us to get anything!!! By then aunt Lucie had already taken everything she wanted, including grandma's money and investments.
My mother and sister went to the mobile home (without auntie's knowledge) and found grandma's spare key that my sister knew about ;) They took the things that were promised to Mom, that were still there. I think they also took anything else that they wanted and could fit into my sister's car. There really wasn't much left.
Then we said, "aunt Lucie could have it". She had a hard time getting rid of that mobile home and it's contents ;). She ended up having to pay the rent on the space for about a year hee hee !!
Mom told her we would have helped, but she wanted it all, so now it was all hers to deal with  :gig

Yes, it's very sad how some people devote their lives to causing pain, misery and sadness to other people. How sad for them that they have no better lives than that....you would think they would want to concentrate on happiness and good things. But then, maybe hurting people DOES make them happy, huh? Weird! :idunno

I feel sorry for those kind of people...they will pass through this beautiful world never knowing the feeling of living hate and stress free. They will die with anger and hurting as their only legacy.

Very sad. :/

:hugs I don't understand folks like that. I suppose we should pity them and let their comments roll off of our backs. I have a sister like that...we've talked about it before.

Most folks can see through her lies and gossip (mostly about me for some reason), so I stopped worrying about it years ago.

Yep, BBH.... I think it's a blessing that we DON'T understand them...this means we are not like them in any way. Thank the good Lord for that! I could not even wrap my mind around carrying around a trunk load of hate and venom all my life....how very heavy a load! :sick

Soooooooo much more fun to have love, laughter and good times with good people.....and less work is involved! :D

You know, the Toxic Trio really did me a great big favor when they did all of these evil things. I got to have my wonderful ol' Bat move in with me and we have such good times and great companionship that I feel like the winner in this whole episode!

I love it that I don't have to call her every day...she's here! I love it that we can plan and do all these neat projects and such. I love it that she no longer has to live near mean people and I can show her all the love and respect that she deserves.

Yes, I know they set out to do all the hurt and damage they could possibly do, but they gave me just what I wanted~ my best friend living right in my house! :) How perfect is that? They also showed their true colors to the world and a lot of people's eyes were opened to their true nature~which vindicates me after all these years of suffering their mean spirits.

It has been said that God turns evil things to good for those who love the Lord.....I think this is one of those times. :celebrate

I know, however the best revenge is happiness..not that I'm a vengeful person, but being happy is rather FUN!! ;) :woot :ya

I wake up every morning with a giant smile. Heck, sometimes I can't sleep b/c I can't wait for my day to start. I'm too happy to worry about my sister's (aka "evil Ann"...I didn't give her that nick name, one of her roommates did back in her college days) hatefulness (such a southern term, but fitting).

I wonder why people like the likes of us get paired with the likes of them? Probably because we can take it. Being happy makes us very strong IMO. Here we both can agree again, "there is a reason for everything". :D

Who needs evil sisters when you've got sweet, happy, fun to talk to friends like you, BBH? :love :hugs

It's scary that you say that, because I feel the same way about my life.....I'm so loving how my life turned out that I smile all the time. I used to think I got the short end of the stick but I finally discovered the short end is usually the handle you grasp to get things done in life. Like finding happiness! :D

Why folks like us get paired up with hatorade family? So that we can thank God for sparing us from that kind of mentality! :gig One never appreciates the sun so much as they do after a week of rain.....God just especially loves US! :weee
