I bet he is also a very gentle person.
Many times he is much more "gentle" at doing things than I am. For instance, our big dog friend Spartacus from time to time has to get drops in his eyes due to allergies. Spartacus will sit very still and Rich puts drops in his eyes with no problem at all.

One funny story is when we were first married,(1994) my brother gave us a Bordeaux Mastiff puppy, from an unplanned breeding of one of his young Bordeaux females.

On the first night home with the puppy, the pup (Nimrod) was in a porta crib on Rich's side of the bed. Sometime in the wee hours of the morning I heard Rich say in a "baby" voice... "Oh, does my puppy have to go potty? Here Daddy will take you out."

It was just too cute, and very endearing to me to see how carefully he picked up the pup.

Here are some photos from way back then...

Nimrod, with both his mom "Giblet" and dad "Lumpy" in the photo. Wow, look how dark that beard was on Rich! Not the clearest of photos.

Here is a cute one "Nimmie in Daddy's chair"

And here is one of Nimrod and Daddy "playing." I remember that old TV set!! How time flies!

Nimrod was a great dog! He died of heart failure when only 6 years old. He had a heart murmur all his life. We miss him.

I'm curious, is that chair a rocking recliner? It looks about like a chair that we used to have, same color and everything!

That roast looks delicious. Congrats on an amazing meal.

Still giggling at the name Nimrod. I know it's from scripture, but still.

You think that's bad? We used to have a GSD named Thutmose. His mother's name was Sheba, and my Dad dug up the fact that the Queen of Sheba had a son named Thutmose. We laughed and said we weren't calling our dog Thutmose, but the name stuck.

The chair only reclines, not a rocker. It is in the family room now. Replaced last year with one that both rocks and reclines.
