That's a shame. W/the title of your thread, I keep expecting to see some pics of the jailbirds. :hide

Lol. Well, at least pics of the poults are up. I really want to get pictures of the chicks though. Someone is coming to pick some up tomorrow. Another person wants to wait until the next hatch, because he wants the brown layers, and I'll have quite a few of those next week, instead of just six. So, I know that the gentleman is going to be picking up more than six anyways, lol.

Thunderstorms are driving me crazy. I usually dig the t-storms, but this is getting to be ridiculous. I'm worried about the plants in the garden at this point... But, since everything is turning black, I hurried up and put the seeds in for lettuce and a few watermelon seeds. Hopefully mother nature is gentle and waters the seeds without washing them away, lol. I still have plenty of these seeds though, so if worst comes to worse, I can plant some more. I will have plenty of seed to do continuous seeding until it stops producing well. I plan to start harvesting when they're fairly young, but should have plenty to let some get a little larger, and maybe even let a plant or two seed? I'm really hoping that I can just collect seed from everything this year, so that I don't have to buy anything next year... Just reuse the little flats I get this year, use seeds and just supplement with whatever doesn't go to seed or what I didn't grow this year.

I've also decided against keeping the chick from this hatch. I MUST stay focused! If I start out by keeping one, then I'll have to keep another, and then two from another hatch, etc, etc. Vicious cycle when you start getting soft for chicks, lol. I'm already in a possible rut with the little mix poult... I just pray that the little poult is a hen!

Pics of the BBS and other, lighter colored blue things...

Little blue partridge?

Second blue partridge thinger...

I'll post pics of the rest of them later. I'm a little embarassed by my brooder... It's DISGUSTING! I thought I had outsmarted the little guys with a jerry-rigged feeder, but alas, the feed section of the brooder is pure slop. Have to clean that up before taking pics in the brooder. I really need to get these guys out and get a real feeder... I'm not about to keep changing the stupid brooder bedding out twice a day, not to mention the feed wastage!

Oh, P.S. I found my camera, lol. Was hidden behind a picture in the dining room... Don't ask.

Lol. Well, I figured I'd add that in there, just in case anyone was still wondering after I posted the pictures, yanno? It was added in there as a little bit of sarcasm. :D I'm so freaking excited that I found it though. :D Even the kids were screaming and giving me big hugs because they were excited that I found it as well (I made such a big stink about it all darned day, lol).

Those little chipmunk cheeks are getting to me, but I WILL HOLD FAST! I'm determined that none of these guys will be here by Wednesday afternoon... Local sales or auction for these guys.

What kind? I never get rid of my cameras, so I have about 5 of them that are outdated (cameras are the one thing that I like to keep updated and will put money into), so I might have an extra charger around somewhere.

They are so cute! They didn't have any Americaunas like that when I got my chicks. I wish they did. I would have loved to have gotten some like that.

It is two year old Samsung. Thanks for the offer :) But come to think of it after staring at my phone charger for a week now I think it will work. The phone is a samsung too. :p
