Between years testing, who else has to test their kids?

DD completed her test, and it's been mailed in. We have to give them one to two weeks to grade and return the scores to us.

DS will be finishing his test tomorrow and it will be in the mail, too.

How did they do?

Just so you know, I am nearly 99% certain that you are NOT obligated to mail the school district the results of your children's testing. From what I understand, some school districts impose more than the law requires. I remember our home school group discouraging members from sending in actual results.


And for future reference, my friend's husband in the Delaware area does really cheap HS assessments. They are $20 and I think $10 for each additional child. Even if you unschool, it's no problem. It's very relaxed and casual. That's a nice alternative to testing if you choose it.

My kids are now enrolled in TRECA and they're having to do that stupid "no child left behind" testing crap.
