MR I don't see why you can't get them now! Unless it's a money issue and your planning on moving first. I bet your fiance would just fall in love with them right away too.

I think we all feel that way at times though, especially when there are so many varying levels of self sufficiency here, and that is something so many of us strive for.

It's a money issue on a couple levels. We don't have the money for the goats and we don't have the money to build decent shelters/pens. not planning on moving anywhere though, we are here until we win the lottery!
yeah, i look at pictures of the things others have and think, damn, if i'd done things differently years ago I'd be further along now!
*sigh* :D

I have a new crockpot so I am trying it out!
I have the upper back and heart of Mr. Turkey, a carrot, two potatoes, salt, pepper, sage, etc. started.

I'm not used to this kind but I'll let you know how it turns out! :fl

Ohhh! A Dutch oven eh?

Well the stew I made was positively excellent!

I do have a question for anyone. Kind of silly really..
I would like to keep the bones for broth, but I want to wait until I have all that I need. Could I just put them in a bag in the freezer and keep adding until I'm ready?
Yes, you can!

Yes, yes, yes!!! Daisy may only be half Saanen, but she is just the sweetest, gentlest goat!! You NEED one!

Hi Lala.

No, just left overs really. I did make a pasta using that pesto I made earlier though.

In case anyone on my FB was curious, no I did not delete you all, I deactivated my account. Too fast paced and hard to keep up with everything. A lot of aspects of it were also too 'high-school'ish for me. Not really my kind of think I guess..

I know.... I have an aunt on FB who writes things like "Well I'd better shut down this machine now..I have lots to do before I can go to sleep" - and I'm going "Who cares? Just go to bed already! (And she's over 65 years old).

How's everything going with school BB? Have you met any nice neighbors yet?
