Oh I found one more. This one is Me and Cayenne the old mare that Malcolm Reynolds our sheep keeps company. This picture was about 10 years and 50 pounds ago ... more or less! We were visiting my BIL in his trailer park.

Thanks she is a POA which in non-horse people talk is Pony of the Americas. Yes she is a pony still. She is 53 inches tall. Her color is called a dun leopard.

:( We lost our other POA early this year and my sis lost a big old buckskin last weekend. It is always hard losing a pet.

This is a fun thread. I love seeing everyone's pictures. I'll see if I can track down any pics.

Here is a pic of a painting my father did of me when I was 4 or 5

And here is one of me in high school, senior year.

Awww. I love all the photos everyone!
Leah, you had thick curls way back then, too! Adorable!

FF, is that a garden in the background on the photo with your parents? And what a great looking couple!

That is mom and step dad who married her shortly before the photo was taken. We were at my Great Grandma's (Grandma Nettie's mom) farm in Missouri where that was taken.

That farm is one of my biggest regrets. It was 80 acres of BEAUTIFUL gently rolling pasture, speckled woods and a nice rock bottomed creek flowing through the whole thing. There was even a stone foundation barn and an OLD two story Victorian house w/no plumbing at all. My Grandma Nettie's two brothers lived there after GGma died and then they died off too. When the last one moved to the nursing home he sold the land to his neighbor since he had no children. My family was still young and very poor at the time, but I wept to see that land go out of the family. All everyone else could see was the pitiful house, but I saw .... well YOU ALL know what I saw. :hit

My mom's Gramps (my GGpa) on her dad's side had an even NICER farm. Eighty acres, NICE house, barn, sheds and about 20 acres of peach and other fruit trees. That place was a bitter battle between sibs when the old folks died. Nobody wanted it!! They were all after money. :( I remember the day that place went on the auction block. I was just a little kid and I still felt bad.

Thank you for that heartfelt description, Positive Patsy

That's actually what's currently happening to the farm my dad grew up on, and his brothers place since he recently died. Everyone just wants the money. :(
