I am working on a case of bronchitis caused by seasonal allergies. I am having issues with sore throat and drainage, now I feel it in my chest, my esophagus is raw and chest is starting to get sore. I don't have time to slow down, so how do I kick the crap out of this? It's in the early stages, but I am experiencing the fatigue this morning :( I have some sourwood honey and fresh lime, so I am making me some tea this morning and hope that and a mass dose of C will get me through the day. Any ideas to beat it without a doctor visit?

Add vitamin D to your supplement list. 20,000 IU of D3 for a couple of days until you kick this.

Okay now I know this is gonna sound weird but I just went on the Fiasco Farm website to order some Molly's Herbal wormer for my goats and apparantly there is a testimonial on there from a woman that used one of her salves for bronchitis....you may want to check it out cause she sounded pretty excited about it.

Can you try the honey and onion remedy? I am prone to bronchitis. And its still naggingly wanting to happen.
But the honey/onion/lemon have kept it at bay so far. And I don't fell horrible. Just a little stuffy.

1/4 tsp baking soda in a small glass of water. drink it down, and it gives almost instant relief. Vicks on your feet with socks at night will also make a huge difference.

I've learned the best thing to keep my breathing problems at bay are air cleaners. I bought 2 at Goodwill, and they run 24/7. One is in the kitchen/living area, and one beside my bed. I don't buy the expensive filters for them. I cut down a regular (good) filter to fit, and use the type they put in window AC units in front of that. I keep the hard electrostatic plastic thing that is in them, and put it in the very front. I can wash it, and the AC filters easily. I toss the AC type and the ones I cut to fit when they look "used". I haven't used an inhaler or been to the doctor for asthma or bronchitis in about 3 years now. I also use Vicks salve on my chest - and feet when needed, and a smeer in my nostrils (although they say not to- who ever "they" are).

I use Vitamin D, also - and a handfull of others. And I stay in on code orange days or worse. Otherwise I'm in trouble.

The best way to avoid bronchitis for me was to stop drinking milk. I used to get bronchitis every winter. When I stopped drinking milk, I stopped getting bronchitis. So, just so you consider avoiding dairy and see if it helps.
