Bubblingbrooks Journey - Salut!

Those steaks look WONDERFUL!!

It looks nothing like the awful Arizona "range fed" beef! It is so lean and gamey it is horrible!

I buy Kosher beef from butcher here, or at Trader Joe's. The beef at Trader Joe's is pretty good.

Though, a while back I got a rib steak, cut it into thirds and froze it.

I broiled a piece in the oven one night, served it to my husband.

He asked me what kind of meat it was.... I said a rib steak...

He said "That is not a rib steak, I think you are trying to feed me 'Alien Butt Knuckles!"

It was full of grizzle and unchewable meat!!

Cutie pie!

Glad you feed her real food, so many people just do the store bought jars or tasteless mush. We had friends over for Thanksgiving dinner when our oldest was just 6 months old and they couldn't believe our daughter was eating turkey with the rest of us, and self-feeding. I hope we influenced their choices when they had kids, but we moved away shortly after she turned 2 and never saw their daily routines after they had kids.
Cutie pie! Agreed! :D

I have a vivid memory of eating dinner at a great aunt's house. This particular woman had those two teeth ... you know the ones that don't quite meet in the center and they have to do their job alone. :sick Anyway she had made fried chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans for the meal. (delicious by the way!) I was fixing a plate for my D1, who was probably about 6 or 7 months old at the time, and auntie said "Oh my can she eat regular chicken like that?" "Sure!", I said. :hide I had to catch myself before I said the rest ..."she has more teeth than you do!" :lau

I'm out of here. We have two badly mangled roadkill moose to process today, and a free life to live...
:( Too much meat going to waste but the scavengers will get something.
