Car help for 1998 Ford Taurus?

See the port on the right bottom of the exhaust manifold (near the T to the left of the watermark guy's head?)

What is that port called and what is it supposed to be connect to???

Right now ours has a small pipe coming off of it that is broken off and exhaust just spews out in to the engine compartment.

Looking for a manual but haven't found one yet

Any help would be much appreciated.

Which manifold are you looking at? Part number?

I "think" that is the EGR port.......that picture leaves a lot to be desired.....

The tube that goes in that port.........where does it go to??

That's the problem...the tube is broken off and it goes nowhere

What about the other end of the tube? Is it gone?? Was it metal?

Don't know where the other end goes and it was metal.

Geez I can't believe how hard of a time I am having finding a decent diagram. Don't parts places want to sell parts??? Grrrrr.

You need to track down the other end of that tube and tell me where/what it goes to.............pictures of what it attaches to would work also.......
