Here is info fron the coummity college on the class I have to take. 16 hours & 250 rounds, sounds like a fair amount of range time.

If you do get a revolver, invest in a couple of speed loaders at the same time. Being able to reload faster is always a good thing.

I don’t carry anymore. But I used to carry a S&W 38, shrouded hammer, airweight. It fit in my pocket.

Check your laws and rules. It may be that if you qualify with an automatic, then you can carry a revolver or auto. But if you qualify with a revolver, you can’t a carry an auto.

Seriously?? I am happy to live here in snowy NH, background check and you're good to carry.

Edit - we actually have constitutional carry but you need a background check to buy a pistol and I choose to get a carry permit so I get checked for that also.

I just got back from looking at revolvers. S&W .38 bodyguard, several .357s and both judge composite and steel frame and the Governor. The S&W .38 bodyguard is to small for my hands, several .357s fit well but I really like the steel frame judge 4510, it fits my hands just right, doesn't seem heavy, even fully loaded, it's well balanced - but it's a damn big gun to try and conseal, expecially since warm weather is coming soon. I just don't know where I would wear it. So I'm currently opting for the shorter framed S&W governor. Its a six shot that'll shoot .410 shells, .44 APC & .44 Colt. I'm gonna go and fire the governor this weekend - then i'll know for sure.

For me, the best gun in the world is a pain if it doesn't fit my grip well. I've had a chance to shoot many different handguns, and can do so well; but I have small hands. And the one I like the most is hard to find and is a Sig so is out of my price range. Once upon a time, we had unlimited access to a range, and as much ammo as we could shoot if we picked up ALL of the brass and fixed the targets.
We have open carry here, so concealing it wouldn't be as big of a deal.
