I don’t like to be hypocrite and say that I don’t watch this anymore, I just to know if someone here also watches some cartoons.

Which cartoons do you still watch?

I don't regularly watch cartoons, but I do watch animated movies like the Shrek series and Ice Age.

I would get into some of the old Looney Tunes, for the nostalgic value. Some of them had fairly involved references, using classical music for example.

I loved Samurai Jack, Power Puff Girls, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and Dexter's Lab. Cartoon Network took all of them off, though, so I don't watch cartoons anymore.

It's really too bad, though, My mind needs the stimulus, sometimes.

:D I'm trying to figure out whether I should admit this or not. hehe BUT I
guess I will and say that I watch SpongeBob Squarepants every chance I
get when I need a lift or a smile. I even watch it in English *and*
German.

Well the kids generally have cartoons on and I'll watch some of those with them. I'm still a big fan of the older ones, though, like Bugs Bunny. Spongebob is a show that isn't even allowed in the house, lol.

Spongebob subversive?

I thought it was pretty harmless, but then I haven't watched a whole "episode".

What is on the cartoon that is objectionable?

There's something to be said for watching nonsense with colors that move around. Cartoons are a nice diversion when you have a tendency to think all the time!

It is harmless... and it's very funny and can always make me smile. There was some media attention by a group that made claims that were unfounded just to get their names in the news and some people bought into it.

I wouldn't really be surprised if it was the competition starting the rumors... like how often has THAT happened?!

Indeed... even our cat pays attention to cartoons and the weather station
while nothing else on television interests her. :)

I don't know why Spongebob isn't allowed on your house. Personally I find it child friendly.
