I don't know why Spongebob isn't allowed on your house. Personally I find it child friendly.

Ah, another Spongebob fan. :D I've noticed that recently some of the writing is becoming a little more complicated/ hints at grown-up humor, but I still find it harmless. If I'd be looking for trouble at every turn, I could probably find some, too, but I could do that with *any* cartoon. :D

.What I heard is that Spongebob Squarepants is supposed to be gay. I've never watched the show, so I can't comment on the validity of this rumour.

I just don't like spongebob.

I do rather enjoy Pinky and the Brain. But if I am watching a cartoon it's likely to be South Park. Now THAT is a subversive cartoon!

Pinky and the Brain are great! They show it here at about three o'clock in the morning, and on weekends we always try to see it.
Have you ever noticed how many voice actors they use? That is one long credit.

I never could get into watching a whole show of Pinky and the Brain... but I do know a number of people (adults :) ) who always liked it.

I had noticed the lengthy credits. I find that quite impressive.

Katharina....I especially love the theme song.

I don't remember anything about the theme song... if I ever even heard it, that is. Care to hum a few bars?

Spongebob's theme song is easy... they stole the old salty sailor song, Blow the Man Down for it. :D

Another very subversive cartoon is Boondocks. They don't try to hide it, and they are quite in-your-face. It's usually on late in the evening, but if they have a set time, I've yet to find when that is.

Now there's one I have never heard of. What's the premise of it supposed to
be? And I assume it's not in any way a cartoon for children? Well no, late
night it wouldn't be. I need more coffee.

I used to watch that show when I was a kid. I know that it is a subversive cartoon but I am enjoying. I guess that I am one of those people who are violent.
