Haven't read the links on here, so if redundant, sorry:
Grate cauliflower and cook in boiling water for lo carb rice substitute.

Par boil florets, dredge in yogurt, coat with garbanzo flour and lightly fry in olive oil.

Cream of cauliflower soup:
Cook in broth, process most to smooth, add heavy cream, salt and pepper, also grated nutmeg if want.

I don't have my recipe with me, but we make a cauliflower and green bean curry that is excellent.

Yesterday I made a brown rice based veggie fried rice and put lightly steamed cauliflower florets in it (with onion, mushroom, & green pepper) and it was pretty good.

Oh my GOSH - that is the largest heads of cauliflower that I've ever seen. You grew them? Wowza! Wonder if I can grow cauliflower up here in the foothills? Love love it and broc too!

Ok, one of Hattie's recipes won first try, because, well, I had all the ingredients on hand (kind of) and it looked really easy... once I translated it into American.

Here's my Americanized, family-style version:

2 cups chopped broccoli
2 cups chopped cauliflower

Steam veggies until just tender.

Blend together 1/2 cup sour cream, 1/2 cup half and half, 1/2 cup shredded cheese -I like cheddar- and about 1/4 to 1/3 cup chopped chives and some salt and pepper.

Mix the veggies with the cream mix and put it all in an oven-safe dish. Sprinkle more cheese on top. Broil for a few minutes until the cheese gets bubbly and slightly browned. Serves 4.

Kids loved it too!

Well done tamlynn! :D

It's great your children enjoyed it -- especially your son.....!!

If you poke around on that BBC Good Food site you can find many other long lists of dishes made with specific ingredients. It is so useful & I use it often, especially when I have a glut of veggies.

It is so important that we all encourage children to eat fresh vegetables & fruit in large quantities (especially if we can grow them well, as you obviously do).
You are doing a great job experimenting with new recipes.

Hattie
