You wouldn't know you went through it if it was summer. It is on I-10 at exit 17. Not far past Blythe, CA-- about 20 miles. Busy place in the winter with the huge rock and mineral shows and the great weather!CheerioLounge said:Hi Snapshot! Thanks for the welcome! I actually have not been to Quartzsite that I know of. When I was very young we took a family vacation to Garden of the Gods and the petrified forest? I know eventually we ended up at Pike's Peak. Is Quartzsite on the way to any of those places if you start from Indio, CA on Interstate 10? I think I would really like to get to Sedona someday. Have you been there?snapshot said:Hi Mike! I spent several winters in Quartzsite. I'd almost bet you've been there! Anyway, welcome!!!!!!
I would love to back to the South Pacific, but unfortunately I need to stay in the States for medical reasons. But it was wonderful while it lasted!!i_am2bz said:Welcome!

HA HA!! 68 would have been nice! Todays high according to the old thermometer on the porch was 52. Now, before you think I'm some kind of wimp, let me explain...Marianne said:Cold in your house? What, 68? The quiche sounds really good, maybe I'll make one tomorrow.
If it get's any colder this winter, that is exactly what we'll do. For now we just throw a couple extra blankets on the bed and dress in layers. Can't you sleep in another part of the house until you get the bedroom a little further along?
