I'm glad you aren't seeing any mites now...that's a creepy feeling.
I need to do my fall prevention steps on the flock soon, just a little behind in everything. Haven't seen a mite or lice around here in years but I still do the fall checkup to see if any birds have any skin or parasite issues, to apply some castor oil to legs, combs and wattles, etc. Still use permethrin or pyrethrin dust on roosts and the bottom of nest boxes, but not on the birds.
