How cool about the chandeliers! How are you going to decorate them? Tell us please!!!!! :D
They are 7 light chandeliers and have the candle flame bulb in each socket.
Not sure how durable those bulbs will be but will change them out if a problem arises.
I have 5 to hang: one at the top peak and 2 spaced on each side, all beneath the overhang.
I plan to attach the clear plastic icicles in place of crystals which should have the same reflecting effect. Chandeliers put out a lot of light so I'm asking DB, the electrician, if I can put a dimmer switch inline. That's as far as I've gotten. I wonder if greens and ribbons on them would be overkill.
Greens and ribbons would not be overkill! They sound so awesome! Pictures are going to be coming, right?:bow No pressure...lol! :D
Agreed....it sounds very pretty....I would love pics!

All this talk of Christmas decor has me itching to get my courtyard lights up. I asked hubby to do it today....I may even break the life long rule of no hint of Christmas until Thanksgiving! The great thing about lights in the courtyard, is that the house is a square and the courtyard is in the center. That means that from all over the house we will be able to enjoy the outside lights :celebrate

I am super excited!!!!

Me too...I have to admit to snuggling under a Christmas throw while watching football today.

Christmas NEVER comes out this early!

Well, I at least looked at my box of ornaments
I did find a very tasteful nativity light that I might get. It would just fit on my end table.

I really like the chandeliers too. I like looking at other people decorations, not so much doing it myself. Especially lights. The one year I did outside lights, I almost passed out when we got our electric bill.

Went to the garage to pull out the lights.....gone.

No lights.

I guess when we moved, they were quite the tangled mess, so DH decided to chuck them. :(

Now I have to buy new lights. They were old, but still.....

I bought a box full at a garage sale. They were the big ones for outside use. there were 12 strands plus a bunch of the plastic things to put under your shingles and about 4 strands of indoor what we used to call Japanese lights. I guess now they are made in China. At any rate I paid 20.00 for everything. After 3 years I decide to put them up. Most of the strands had shorts and all the paint was coming off the insides of the bulbs. After X-mas I threw them all away. They are awfully expensive.
