I love my coffe, but also remember, coffee affects different people's bodies differently. I can drink 2 cups of coffee at 10 pm and go to sleep at 11pm and sleep like a baby.

This dandelion thing sounds like fun to try though!

Oddly, after a little over a year, i found my first dandelion on my place today. So i don't know how much i will be able to make. ;)

NO COFFEE!??? :barnie Oh, there would be a world war 3 here.
The running "joke" at my house is....get in between me and my coffee, you will be hurt!" Seriously tho...it does sound interesting..I mean, what if TSHTF, and we have no access to coffee?? We all need to be thinking of an alternative! ;)

I hate coffee.
No alternative needed here...LOL
So if the SHTF I am safe on that one....hahaha

but I sure have other addictions that I must find alternatives for! ;)

funny thing is most things we sure can do without!

I have been trying to build a coffee stash, but when your husband drinks 2 POTS per day, that is a little difficult.

(I only drink about 2 cups per day. Maybe I need to just hide some beans in a wax paper wrapping and label it SCALLOPS. Hubby HATES scallops)

 scallops - that's funny

the sad thing is that if you have NO coffee, and your husband is used to drinking 2 pots per day, you're going to end up making the 'scallops' for HIM anyway! because he'll be freaking OUT, :somad and you'll want a few moments of peace.

scallops, that's great! :gig

I already told him he better quit smoking NOW. Aint no ciggies if the SHTF. Can't grow tobacco in Colorado!!! LOL

So without coffee OR smokes, I may have to kill him anyway.

I drink regular dandelion tea. I imagine roasting it would change the flavor. Would it change other properties? It's a wonderful diuretic. It's great right after girl time bloat ;)

I drink one cup of coffee a day and have one cigarette if I have really high stress. Easy to give up when I have to ;)

But I switch to various teas after the coffee if I need a hot drink. I love my herbal teas :)
How do you make dandelion tea please?

Also, the white sappy stuff in the stems, anyone know if that's poisonous or beneficial or what?
