My son came for visit from Northern IL Friday eve. It was a surpise and was good seeing him. I got this txt from on his return trip.

Deep freeze? we are ready. I give tank a split log, he shreds it. I sweep up his mess for kindling. That one on top with splinters sticking up will do nicely. Hey tank has his job around here also, you know?

My daughters dog liked to chew on wood, BUT
He got a splinter in his gum and it abscessed, he got an infection and it spread to the blood and he died.

Chewing on wood is not good— fun but not good
