Other news is we started getting sick on Friday. Made it to the base covid test site today. Can actually get in there not like town.

This isn't as bad as the crap I had in December 2019 which I still think was an early covid case. Was a hairsbreath from heading to ER then because I couldn't breathe. Only time I lost my sense of smell ever. Plenty of albuterol and flovent saved me.

This fever roller-coaster sucks. Stays just above 102 for hours then crashes. So I freeze then sweat. Rinse repeat. Ache all over. Eyes are watering like mad. At least the headaches haven't been prominent since Saturday morning.

Results sometime tomorrow. Hubby isn't as bad but no cough or lung issues for him.

He joked with my Mom yesterday that the pass was now open so we'd come vistand bring it to her. She said she'd block the door. She loves us, but she loves us sick elsewhere.
Sorry that you are sick. But I'm glad that it isn't as bad as the first time. My son had a virus in January 2020, unidentified by the doctor. He was bad sick for a month. We are sure it was Covid.
It is said that there is no immunity for this newest Omnicron.

We're waiting to move, everything is packed,
I'm almost there. The rent house is mostly ready now. The former carport that will be my bedroom is still a wreck, but it's next. I think by the weekend of the 22nd, I'll be ready to move most of the furniture. I have to sand and refinish the floors here before I turn it over to the new owners.

there is some immunity provided by vaccination or previous exposures but it won't always prevent infection or symptoms, however a lot of people have it and don't even know it. when they go to the hospital for something else and the hospital tests for it routinely then they pick it up that the person is infected. this is consistent with what has been found to be happening in the UK or South Africa. the USoA is a few weeks behind either place in the surge from this variant, but so far the trends are following fairly closely.

Then it's ONLY reported as a COVID! Not that we aren't overrun with those bad cases in hospitals but, adding these people there for other reasons we have elevated COVID reports for hosp stay. Shame.
