Cold here too. Coldest in my area in over 40 yrs. Did all I could for everyone out there....fresh bedded barns, lots of extra, great hay. Water not frozen yet...pretty much nothing else but wait it out and pray everyone is safe. No animal is out alone, so barns will find them snuggled to share body heat.

Prayers for every one of us....and those beyond our forum, for safe keeping.

-4 right now, winter storm warning in effect for the next four hours. The really bad stuff overnight went north and east of us.
Glad we stayed home, but not as bad as predicted.

Glad I had the tree feeder full, nuthatch and titmouse birds were on the feed all day yesterday despite the storm

It’s 19 here now, we are on the upswing, was 11F yesterday. I have frozen hot water pipes somewhere in the add on utility room. Cold water came on yesterday but no hot, so turned water off again. Going to my sister’s house this afternoon, be back tomorrow night. Hopefully I won’t have a busted pipe. If I do, I’ll get it fixed. Eh.

The blizzard conditions went south of me. I just had the extreme wind chill. Well, not me. I stayed indoors and delegated chores because I'm a wuss. We have wind chill advisory now.

-2 with wind-chill. Quite extreme for here!! Nose count had everyone there for feeding. That's a good feeling!

I'm layered and ok but, cold....wish I could heat things for the animals. But they're in good health and well haired! Barns bedded and adequate.

Back out for water tubs. Then done for a couple hrs. Was & repeat a couple more times today. Again tomorrow.
