Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

I stopped at the little local grocery store yesterday. We passed the hardware store on the way, where an Amish horse was waiting. DS6 pipes up "poor horse!" and we had a chat about that. I have a service dog so DS6 has experience with working animals are not unhappy animals.

When we left the grocery store, the horse was in the parking lot and the Amish man was leaving too. DS6 started to ask me a question and I encouraged him to ask the man. He did! He asked where the doors were on the buggy. The man showed us the sliding door on the side and hinged door on the trunk.

We said thank you and left. I noticed the Amish man had bought Powerade, Doritos and other chips. Always makes me smile to see that. We're more alike than different.

What fun that was!!

It's after 3:00 PM and I'm still stuffed plum nutty full, from Church this morning. I feel about like one of my turkeys on Thanksgiving. There was biscuits and gravy, french toast casserole, sausage, egg, cheese casserole, cinnamon rolls, doughnuts, coffee and orange juice all home made and absolutely delicious

Almighty woke me again this morning, I'm extremely thankful to live another day.

Wanted to share with y’all something that brings a smile to my face. My friend’s six year old was over and drew me a picture, he handed it to me and said “this is me, this is you, and it goes on your fridge.” By golly that little one stole my heart even more. And you better believe it is PROUDLY displayed.

Yes! These guys really are extra special too. I’m so honored to know my friend and be in the kid’s lives. Man, I love these little bits! Love them like Nieces and nephews, the only blood between us is the blood of Christ though.

Good Morning,
The Chicken coop is open and scooped & the coffee is done!

Coffee is ready, I haven't drank it all yet, so there is some for y'all! LOL Going to town first thing this morning to get license tags for the truck, take death certificate and title to get it changed over to my name. Tags are expired, so need to get that done. Then back home, neighbor Ron is coming over to help me load trailer with used tin, lumber, etc, anything else we can get on the truck and trailer. Then tomorrow morning, wait on daylight, feed dogs and sheep, then skeedaddle on down to the new to me house. A friend is coming over to help unload, I'll do more painting, spend the night and paint some more. Be back Wednesday evening.
