Good Morning everyone!
I packed FH just in case he has to stay out for "snow duty" tonight. Right now the here is 48 but it's going to start raining soon and by later on today the temp is suppose to drop and continue dropping throughout the night then sort of warm up tomorrow then drop at night again.
Going to get more coffee which is hot and ready and if you all need a refill on your coffee don't be afraid to get some from the pot.

Unfortunately, we won't be up until spring thaw. Our cabin isn't really accessible in the winter. Oooo... seed swap? Very cool! If you do get to go, I hope you'll share news of your finds! 😀 Our garden is rather small. But I am trying a few new things, this year. I've already got my seeds. Going to try starting some things, indoors. This is one of the reasons I wanted to come here - to see what I can learn
I love cabins that arnt accessibly in winter,,, thats a keeper

Up too early, waiting on daylight. Working job all week, probably. Have one goat due to kid any day, so watching for that...wasn't quite ready yesterday but, day to day right now.

We're having rain events off and on all week. Supposedly light. Well last "light" gave me 2"...I was in one of the heavy spots. It is what it is. Inconvenient!

I see TX is having winter today...... :ep 😁

I drank 3 cups of coffee with sugar between 3 and 5pm hahahahah we went over to sons house for GS's 9th cake day,
I was able to stay up to a whopping 10pm, DH/GP was a bit tired so we trotted on home, BUT holy cow you would think I could sleep at least until 6am but NOooooooooo,,, 5am up and at'um

Its a larger one of this brand. It was solid down in the rim where they drink.
The idea of the salt water bottle is partially for it to be moving around so that the water around it will not freeze as soon. That is why we use it in the water troughs for the cattle. It will not do much good at night inside the waterer as it is not moving and the air inside the waterer will actually be colder than the outside temps as the cold gets trapped in there. It will work to some extent in the daytime... but it is more effective in an open type pan/trough where it gets moved around by the animals and so creates a "warmer perimeter" around it.
