All is quiet, tank is fast asleep 🤫 I really can't emphasize enough... when tank is awake, he's full slap wide open. I dewormed him yesterday, will need to repeat again as per the directions. Then I'll get him an appointment with a vet, if I can find one. There's a huge shortage of vets taking new patients around here. If I can't find a vet, I may have to vet him myself.

I gave my puppy his shots. There is a local chain like TS, where I could buy the shots. Make sure you keep the packaging, the receipts and record the dates so that when you do find a vet, they will believe you. Rabies was the only one not available over the counter.

That's because most states don't count the animal as rabies vaccinated if it wasn't done by a vet

We had that temp swing.... 61 Wed during the day... woke up to 25 this (Thursday) morning... Had .3 inch rain in the afternoon into evening then the cold swept in on some really bad gusty wind... Took a big dead tree down at the farm across driveway, and a smaller dead one next to the smaller barn at the pasture where I have the nurse cows, and the baby calves in the barn on milk and such. Today was breezy, and warmed up a fair amount to 50 late this afternoon. Supposed to get back down to 20's again tonight... then near 70 by next week...Crazy....

You don't "adjust"...you cuss and dress different! 🥴

It was 65 here yesterday -- 29 this morning. But wasn't that cold for more than a couple hours, so frost but, not frozen water, etc. VA weather. Could be worse. Like 3' of snow

Busy day ahead. Need to get out there but, coffee first!! Always :) like gas in the tank.

Morning y’all. I have some coffee left, had my 2 cups. I haven’t checked in for awhile. I’ve been helping a friend tape and float sheetrock. I did 3 days the first week, thought I was gonna die, I was so sore! 3 days the second week and 4 days this past week. Lots of overhead ceiling work. Friend has a brain injury, has a shunt in his brain and looking up at ceilings makes him violently sick, throwing up and feeling terrible. He’s had 6 brain surgeries. He’s building a nice home for his wife. A barndominium. We are almost done, doing second coat of mud, then sand, then done. Then he can texture and paint.

I need to do so much here, have 14 ewes due starting in 3 weeks. I’ve got to work them, then move them to front field. Have to put up a temporary night pen and cow panel hoop shelter from hot summer sun that is on its way. Got 2 loads of dirt yesterday, one for temporary shelter, one for beginning to make raised dirt pad for new barn that will take me all year to build. Time and money, mostly money. LOL

Gonna spread dirt today, take down 5 cow panels from old pen in the back and drag them up here. Drive T-posts and bow over probably 3 cow panels, cover with tarp. Put up temporary fence for night pen. Run ewes through chute, take fecal samples and examine under microscope to check for worms, treat as needed. Trim feet.
Move 3 week old Cornish Cross out of tubs, off porch to chicken tractor. Got to spread some dirt for them. Last year they stood in water when it rained, gotta raise the elevation for them. Today!
Won’t get it all done this weekend but I can get a running start. Back to Sheetrock on Monday.
