Power has dropped for a couple minutes 3 times so far. It's been flickering since about 1pm and we didn't even have wind here then. Everyone in the area has complained about that.

Wind isn't actually bad here, but it can't decide which direction. We're in a wind shadow from any wind coming from the east.

RANT coming....
We have a Run-Chicken door; bought two years ago; stopped working even with new batteries. I called the service number. They would NOT HELP me until I downloaded their app. So I did and had to call two more times. STill wouldn't help me, I need to send an em to support. So I did. They got back to me and asked me to:

1. delete the app and reinstall it

2. change the batteries

3. wipe the connectors with alcohol to clean them
4. take a video of the door not working

5. send them photos and another video of the door not working!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then yesterday, with time to kill between appts in Portland, I wanted Taco Bell. Found one, saw a sign in the window that the Cravings Box is $7. We both go into the restaurant. We will split the box and share a drink. I stand at the counter. Employee comes out and says please place your order at the kiosk. What kiosk, I say? The one around the corner. Took a bit, but finally found the Cravings Box. It was $10. Need to pay with card.

Went back to the counter, and said I want to pay with cash. OK, they said. And I pointed out the huge sign in the window says its $7 but the kiosk says its $10. She said that the $7 is only good if I use the Taco Bell app to order it. WHAT????????????????? I'm standing in the restaurant, cash in hand, and I have to pay $3 more? And another thing - that kiosk was so hard to navigate. She said sorry ma'am.

Then both hubs and I had slight indigestion from the meal. That never happens, so it just was a sucky day afterall.

The hole of indifference formed over us for this storm. Basically storms will go around a 1-2 mile diameter area here. Doesn't happen all the time. Everyone else gets pounded and we get very little. Our winds never got bad. Power flickered off a couple more times but we didn't lose it like so many others.
