Similar here. Cold and windy....makes it harder to deal with the temps. We'll be in teens tonight. Was 22 this morn 🥶🥶 and that's 15* below norm. Makes me worry how cold we'll be Jan/Feb, our coldest months. Have heated tubs at ready but they're $$$ to run for a long time. I usually plug in only nights. It's a game 🥴 so far only thin ice morning on tubs. When we get into low 30 days, that's the time for the heat at night.

Gotta go to work today. Then home again until after new yr, as it looks now. :idunno must be how "retired" feels.

Looks as though winter has begun. I still have fruit trees with leaves attached. I'm sure they will drop soon and I'll get a good day above freezing with calm winds to give them their first organic dormant spray of dormant oil and liquid copper. Two cover sprays during dormancy are probably the most important sprays there is, it nips a lot of issues in bud before the buds break in the spring.

Now you know where the phrase "nip it in the bud" comes from.

Yes, it is 27 out here this morning, the snow prediction keeps changing on AccuWeather.
First it said snow on the 19th; then the 5th; then the 15th and now, not until Jan. 20th :p
So basically,, it will happen when it happens-

All the chickens are alive , I check for moving mites Sunday night.
