Good morning, ☕
I have both wood stoves going, Coffee ready. I have some NutPod peppermint mocha creamer, I only add a tough it my coffee with 1/2 & 1/2 otherwise its to sweet, but just a splash is nice.
I looked at Accuweather , the snow is 🌨️❄️coming, ❄️🌨️ but the prediction keeps changing, so I say ready or not it WILL happen and I thing sooner than Accu says.

Forget the seed catalogs! We just received the Lehman's holiday catalog!

For those not familiar, they are a north central store in the central Ohio Amish area that caters to the Amish and us "English" folks liking simpler things.

That's where we'd got my 2 gallon mason jar and giant mixing bowls when we stopped in after visiting hubby's uncle one year.

I'd just ordered some bayberry candles from them last week. Only place I've ever found actual bayberry wax ones and not scented candles

I'd love to go to Lehman's! Would be a long, wonderful day to browse ☺️ and reminiscent.

Rain last night-- a lot! Rain off & on all day, with t- storms possible. Here & NC, only few miles away. So I rescheduled job work today, rather than drive around these narrow, curvy roads in it. Now I'm home, flustered and not in mood to "do". :old

Oh, we needed the rain! Extremely dry. 👍

Need to cook up, can up, not enthused. Boring. 🫤

Warmed up for 2 days... was 55 overnight, up to 57, rained last night into mid afternoon this afternoon... but it got really WINDY.....has been gusty all afternoon and evening... and temps are down to 28 already...
Checked the rain gauge when I got home from work... 1.2 inches so far... Should be cleared off for the next couple days...
We needed the rain desperately... we were in moderate drought condition and this won't fix it, but it sure will help a little...

I have that feeling like I had around February of 2020 when I just needed to store extra canning lids.

Food is nagging me. I couldn't do canning last summer. So hitting the canned goods.

I did very good in Economics in school. I know exactly what tariffs on imports are going to do to US prices. We import too much, especially from Mexico.

@Hinotori I agree. Food is going to be out priced for more than it currently is. Shameful really, as we waste so much as a country, yet some areas are on the brink of hunger for many. Recalls, shutdowns, availability, all a part. I see food lines increasing at various food bank facilities. Let's face it, for some the groceries are the only place to cut. The rent/mtg and utilities don't allow you to skip them!

Tariffs will be passed to consumer. That is for everyday needs -- clothes, car repair parts, batteries, lubricants, all of it. Homelessness is also real. It's not just unemployed, recent disasters took homes & jobs. These are trying times. Expensive times.

Looking back over many, many years of life, I see struggles have always been there but the feeling of "family & community" has greatly changed. Progress? Certainly some areas are good -- the tech world allows me to communicate in real time, across the miles. It's far greater than the first TV :old 😁

Thoughts with my morning cuppa.

Totally agree. I didn't have much of a garden at all this past year, but that will certainly change. Tarriff's will hit everyone. Ready to pay $6 for an avocado?

Unfortunately, much more than food will increase in price as @Mini Horses said. Electronics - yep. Tequila - oh man... (lol). Too much to mention...

Yes, stock up on those canning lids and get started using them!
