Due to DH health I only planted tomatoes last spring. I had arugula come up from 2023 and that nice green patch I left is all arugula.
I didnt want to waist my garlic so I put it on the corner of the bed by the wormwood. I planted it as soon as the soil wasn't frozen, never covered it. It is still out there I didnt pull it up.
To the far right are some of my herb plants and across the front is a small herb bed. By the plow is a fig tree. I have 6 blueberry's on the far right by the coop 3 and 3 across the back. In the very front bed is comfrey and calendula & I put in a thornless blackberry. the property is covered in evergreen huckleberries.

This is in Oct. when I cleaned the bed

This is before I weeded- in the front right corner by the gate is a herb tea bed. I didnt clean it up, I left it to its self and will clean it in April.

I am still contemplating on what I will do this spring- I need to get my seed box out and see what is left over and I know I need a few fresh seed packs.

I am going to focus on the most nutrient dense foods and not the "oh this might be fun" stuff

That's a beautiful garden! I'd love mine to look that good 😁 I always seem to lose the neatness. Partly because of "time" and size. Hoping to do better.

I still have a job and the seasonal work comes at the same time as the seasonal garden planting & establishing. 🫤 Looking at ways to improve that and that I can tolerate here. One day, someday 🤣

Strange how the cold weather just ramps up our garden thoughts and plans. I have boxes of seed at my feet right now. Plus catalogues that show I have all I need! Willpower.

How do you use your wormwood? I'm using as a combo with other things for organic parasite help
for my goats. Comfrey here, too -- expanding that patch. I plant things for the chickens. Herbs & seed bearing plants.

Huge panic moment this morning. Started getting emails from the mortgage company with various notices. Everything from the balance was almost paid off to we needed to take action to avoid foreclosure, and about 20 different topics overall.
Found out they had a system issue.

Already have those through work, 2 years now.
I was confused when the first email was about missing payments, then the flood started with just about every topic (FEMA has declared a disaster in your area???). I went through the emails, inspecting hyperlinks, the phone numbers, email internal data. It was all legit. Called the main number, and they had a global message, basically "whoopsie on our part".

Because everything in the email structure was legit, I don't believe it was a hack.

And in other news....

Our local FedEx hub is in complete disarray. Area folks (including us) are still waiting for items that should have been delivered 2 weeks ago. Still waiting on the new gasket for the electric pressure canner. Some folks have tried going to the facility to retrieve their shipment to be told it is on a truck out for delivery or they can't find it.
