that's what happens when i don't get a nap. my sleep-schedule is all messed up in the winter and then it starts sorting itself out when we get nearer to spring with both exercise and more light coming along...

Here too... HOW are you supposed to get out of bed when it is still dark out??????

It seems to me they don't care about being wet at all. I actually think they enjoy a good shower.

One thing I found odd... snow and frost doesn't melt right away when it forms on their backs either. Then I read somewhere it a sign of good health. And that they have a fat cover of sufficient depth, to insulate them from the cold. Who knows if that's truth or not? But it kind of makes sense, when I think about it.

Yes... you do not want them overly fat... but you want them to have enough fat on their backs that snow does not melt.

Very important in cold climates for cattle and horses and similar.

Goats though... they NEVER let snow sit on their backs!!!

Yeah, horses with snow sitting, that's good. Goats never go out in anything falling from sky!! Or liquid on ground either.

Horses can elevate their hair and it forms insulation . So I've read.
