I’ve had my coffee. Got to get chores done and get ready for church. High of 74 today, then 10 day forecast drops to the 70’s and 50’s for a high. Lows will be 50 down to 36, supposed to rain several days. Still a few ewes to lamb.

The gnats are back. Not tiny one, but they look like a cross between a fly and a gnat. They BITE. I’d better go look for my head mosquito net. Last year before I got it, they bit me on my face, my eyes puffed up like a biscuit.
I remember those Texas gnats, evil things they are.

Had just a little less than a quarter of an inch of ice. Garage door was frozen shut, as well as the car, and bird feeders.

I forgot even gravel can be slippery. Didn't fall, but it was iffy a few times
Glad you are OK 👍. Yes be careful on ice, our neighbor fell and tore ligaments in her wrist, elbow and forearm.

Our ice storm taught me a lot. The farm would have had to shut down, if I had kept the tractor in the barn. FB said I should keep it in the barn, I said no, now she knows why I said no. The sliding doors of the barn were frozen shut for well over a week and a half. And oh what fun it is to try and remove netting from a hay round that's covered in ice. I'll be better prepared next time. Tarps would have saved me a lot of work.

Tank and I are still cleaning up big fallen banches from the ice storm.

sometimes you do more damage by not falling by how you try not to fall. and then of course when falling on ice it's really a hard landing... ice is not at all forgiving...

Like catching yourself by grabbing the fence and tearing your rotator cuff in that shoulder

Skiff of snow here yesterday, some ice on top, then warmed a bit, and rain off and on. Had some rain last Thursday... iced really hard, and was slick... then warmed enough for just rain... melted ice.. Then sun for about 2 hours, then rain again overnight... CRAZY... had about 2-2 1/2 inches between that and yesterday (Sat)... cold and raw... Today was mostly sun and got up to the mid 50's... dried some mud up... tomorrow supposed to be mostly sunny... then SNOW Tuesday... 4-8 inches possible, and changing to some rain late... and more rain end of week with 2-4 inches... flood watch out for that...
Totally NOT the kind of winter you expect... couple of weeks ago we had single digits and teens, and a coating of ice that was like concrete...
Would just like snow....chilly temps, and hard ground and stay that way until March... NOT rain.....or the pneumonia weather temps swings of 30 one day and 60 the next... then be spring...

Back to cold/chilly weather here, after a week of temperatures up to 80degrees. Maybe those blasted giant gnats will stay away for awhile. It’s supposed to rain tomorrow, Wednesday and Saturday. wet conditions make them worse.

Morning ALL!
Sad 😢😥 to report no coffee left in pot this AM.
Today my high temp is close to 40 then tomorrow the high is only going to be 34 with an accumulation of WET HEAVY snow 3-6". It was raining when I first got up but that has stopped now. I'm hoping the power doesn't go out seeing how the generator is buried (BLOCKED is more like it) in the shed and on top of that there is no gas for it even though every week H says he's going to get gas for it just to be prepared. Yup, I have candles and lights that run on batteries in the house. When the storm does arrive I'll update as soon as I can.
