We hit 13° last night. Already 32° at 930.

I did manage to stuff the roosting chickens into their houses by myself. Wrapped hand with towel for cold protection but it proved great to just pull the girls onto to move them.

The local in my hand is finally almost wore off. Just pinky tip still bit numb. Only real pain I have is on palm where Dr removed some knotted scar tissue. Might have to take some tylenol for that.

Well I'm off to set out another 1500lb + round of hay for the moo crew. Maybe I should just go ahead and enter tractor into one of those mudding contests. Been raining all day, rain is better than ice or snow, but it is brisk out there.

Went to work at 3 a.m. started snowing at the farm about 8 or so... left there a bit after 10 a.m. 20 miles south they had ground covered, 20 miles further south at home we had over 3 inches... it came from the south west, heading east/slightly north. There was over 6-8 inches on the ground by 2 or so... nice snow. Temps have stayed in the 28-32 range so cold enough to not melt. Maybe some ice this evening but I think we are just north of the sleet/ice line which is fine with me... Prefer the snow to ice. Some off and on precip tomorrow... 50 on Thurs? Serious rain coming for the weekend...
There was about 8 inches at dark...
Snow is poor man's fertilizer... has some nitrogen in it... I MUCH prefer snow to the ice and cold rain.
