i rigged up a hanging small glass for when i was tent camping so i could read by candle light. used the small votives. the hanger was just some wire woven so it could not possibly let the candle fall out no matter how it got bumped or moved. never had any wax even come out of it (i was careful). i don't think i still have it anyplace... LED lights are now much much better and safer.

i do have several old railroad oil lanterns which are pretty safe and nice but the fumes are too thick for me. i have two in this room and we have two others around the house, but we never use them these days. decorative antiques.. or decorative antics is more like it. :)

I have some old kerosene lamps that were grandpa's. Don't have any kerosene, though. Maybe should get some. Mom always used one when we lost power. Her bathroom has a sconce she bought back in the 70s that has three mirrors behind it and uses votives. It reflects the light around really well.

It's Beautiful... We now have a 21 ft Made in USA by Farmer flag pole. With ole glory flying, the place feels right again :) When my neighbor and I were done, I said Thank You and asked him what do I owe you? He said you don't owe me a thing. FB said she's going to order a bunch of flags and keep them in flags for their pole.
