Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Nothing like waiting in the phone store... and realizing that you smell of chicken coop.

Truly... I worked hard to get my boots scraped off before getting in my car.

I guess, now that it is "spring-ish" that I need to start segregation of coop and town boots.

Smelling a little like cattle colone myself lately. It's the same smell that comes from cattle colon, just with a 'e' on the end.

If I go to the town 9 miles from me that has 2 blinking lights, a dollar store, convenience store and a post office, I don’t change clothes. I’ve gone to that town for ice after butchering chickens, splattered with blood and guts, nobody bats an eye. BUT if I go to Lufkin or Crockett, I put on town clothes and decent tennis shoes or boots.

Just ya'll sit a few, it is only ?? what is today, ,, had to look, its Friday,, not that that means much to all that work everyday, cuz there is only like no such thing a an actual day off.
The electricians come back to finish up, I will have then redo all the wall plugs they replaced in the living room--TOP plug works on the wall switch,, but not anymore,, please redo they still need to do one porch light that wont work, ect... The foundation/crawl guys are finishing up today with the smartjacks install.
I need to get everything down off the walls for monday roofing

I did pick up 20 bags of playground sand for the inside of the coop,, the floor. I'll put all that in the coop that on Saturday.

Heard about the quake. Sad for them.

Worked all day -- yeah, still have that habit, a job.

In for the night. My goal for weekend at home, start veggie seeds! Tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, etc

Coffee is ready. Got a neighbor coming over this morning to learn how to slaughter a chicken. I saved 4 out of the first batch for him to learn on. Then we’ll go inside and he’ll get a cutting and vacuum sealing class. LOL

I'm relaxing this morn with coffee. Home all weekend, no rush, nowhere to be! Wow. This is nice

Garden planning is my only consideration right now. Believe I might need to buy a new mower battery -- will know once charger comes off. Not mowing yet but, pulling the yard cart.
