Warm here. Wet out from night rains. Just sitting to enjoy my coffee, slept late, no rushing today. Right now, I have no job work until next Tuesday. Home all week!!

I thawed out some meat for today, I think I'll take a chicken out to thaw for tomorrow

Another full day here, got back from town at 1:30 and worked on the run some more . Son came and got eggs and let GS# 4 of 7 stay. He helped reset the run roost. I let him use the dril, hammer and clawfoot, he’s 11. He got the roosts down and rest, he did good.
I told him he could stay the night and help me spread wood chips in the run.

Roofers Didn’t start due to rain but they delivered all of the sheet metal . 1/2 of what is on the truck is our order

On my second cup of coffee. I didn’t get the front field sheep run across the driveway yesterday to the working chute. But I did get the middle field sheep run through and the lambs wormed. I thought I had a barrel of feed, but I didn’t and was totally out. Had to take car, could only haul 8 bags of feed, not the normal 1100 pounds in a super bag I get in the truck. Truck is down, will trailer it to the shop hopefully this weekend. Hoping it’s only a fuel leak. I’m behind on everything due to processing chickens. Lots to choose from on my to-do list.

going to be rainy a little windy and stormy today but at least warmer (near 60F). so when the storm comes in with lightning i'll be shut down and sorting beans.

up north and some places down south are still recovering from the last storms with people still without power so this will be no fun for them, but we'll get through it.

Consuming my coffee. Really (!) need to tackle a list today. Slacked yesterday like a "day off" so minimal work but, errands & a load of feed got attention. Good weather until Monday, they say.

Hope is eternal so is the "to do" list.

GS is sleeping, we get what we can done filling the coop run with the wood chips before I have to take home at 1:30

Saw the "system" reported for huge rains, winds & tornado concerns....up into Ohio, even. We have a twin system further east, not as severe, they say.
