We had the pipes freeze in the house one year. Hubby thawed them out w/the hair dryer. And, I don't have a torch out at the farm. I'm just glad I was able to get it thawed. I told the farm owner last week that something needed to be done or it was going to freeze. In spite of being told it would be taken care of, it wasn't. Hubby says he has a heat gun I can use instead. I don't really want to leave my hair dryer out at the farm! This is about the only time of the year I'll use it!
I've been watching old episodes of Ice Road Truckers lately and one of the drivers' heating in his truck broke. He just happened to have his wife's hair dryer handy and used that to keep the windshield clear so he can see where he was going. Handy things, hair dryers…
You're lucky, Beekissed. We had snow predicted last night, but it's warm (mid 40's) and raining here today. I don't mind the warmer temperature, but I'm tired of this rain already.
The worst part about having pets is when they die. We lost our outside Cali cat last night (the one pictured in a previous post cuddled with my outside dog). We we're expecting it though. She is very old and could hardly walk anymore. Surprised she made it this long really. But it's still a bummer when you loose a family pet
This is true. Like the end of an era. I'm sorry you lost her but oh, so glad you had her for so long and got to see her story played out within your family.
