I picked my family. Because I had lousey relatives.

Weird how it works out.

Its perfectly ok to hurt, you went threw major surgery. Glad you have the strength of character to get up and work threw. Says a great bit about you.

Ive had so much surgery that I know to medicate steadily for three days, on the fourth day, I put on my big girl panties and tough up. Otherwise, the meds make me useless and whiney.

Im sure its different for everyone, but I learned how i react. I also go into a pretty serious depression by the fourth day of meds. I adore morphine, a bit too much, and i could easily go into addiction land if I dont force myself to get away from it.

You should sidetrack your mind with wedding planning. I love to plan. Flowers and cake..... so much fun...
:) It's good that you recognize your limitations and potential bad issues :) I'm just glad that I hate drugs so much because I know I have an addictive personality! :hide

So, since SO had to be at work at 6am today (they are resetting his entire department today but thankfully he got a good portion of the reset taken care of ahead of time!) I got up at 7 and took care of the dogs and the cats and the ducks and the chickens, and candled eggs and emptied and filled the dishwasher from last night and started a load of laundry. Just got done with a cold millet pack on my tenders :)

So, a couple of the smaller chickens keep showing up in the duck pen and I finally figured out why. So, since I had 5 gallon home depot buckets full of old horse poo that I never got into the garden I took three of those (using the yard cart) and took them over to the area and dumped them out on the ground and kinda buried the area of fence that they were crawling under. The stupid thing is that it was a one way door!:lol: stupid chickens could get in but not out! So, hopefully I fixed that (at least temporarily until I can get out there and do it right) and I didn't tear anything inside :hide

I candled the turkey eggs today and the last time I did that I saw two that looked green inside, but today only one looked green. I think it might be because of the shell itself and not because they are rotten? Any thoughts?

I would have left the laundry for SO since that's his main chore but he's been having massive nose bleeds lately so I decided to wash all the rags and towels and such so that would be taken care of :)

As far as moving to Lawrence goes, apparently we are not. The stupid thing with his company is that the store manager does not hire their assistant manager, home office does that. So, they've already filled the slot before he even knew it was open to apply for it! He had gone in yesterday to talk to the gal who is going to be the manager of that store (who is currently the assistant manager at his current store) and she told him that. She also told him to apply for the Vitamin Manager position and ask for more pay (which he could do based on his previous experience as a vitamin worker and his experience as the Body Care manager) but he's not going to do it. The thing is, I know he would be good at it but he doesn't want to do that. Also, I know Her reasoning for telling him to do that is because that way he is already in place when she decides she doesn't like the person they hired as her assistant and makes that person go away. But, he'd rather stay where he's comfortable and I'm not going to force the issue on this.

As far as wedding plans go we'll see. I still have to get the money together to buy the engagement ring!

So, SO made these packs? that are pieces of fabric sewn together and filled with millet, and then sewed closed and then he took more fabric and made covers for them. Stick them in the freezer and when they are good and cold they make awesome reusable cold packs for the neck, head, or really anywhere! I think he should make a bunch and sell them at the farmers market. We could sell those and eggs when they start producing more and the plastic canvas christmas ornaments he makes and even homemade jams and jellies :) but, not yet apparently. But, meanwhile these things are perfect for putting on my waist area instead of an ice pack :)

Wow, that's alot of typing :) Sorry it's so long!

HE SAID YES!! HOLY CRAP HE SAID YES!!! (not that I expected him to say no, but still, he said yes!! )

So, I was at work late last night and my SO texted me to say that he was really craving gummi savers. I knew I had a text but had to wait ten minutes because I was busy with something else. I texted him back to ask if he wanted me to stop by the store on my home but he never answered. So, I stopped at the 24hr Kings Soopers and bought two bags cause they were on sale and different flavors. And then this morning after he got up I handed him the bags while I knelt down and asked him to marry me. He said yes! :D He also said the gummi's were better than a real ring because they stretch to fit the finger and you can eat them all :D
