Always doing laundry
My granny got tired of the tupperware bowl with the lid on the counter so she got me a stainless steel trash can with a pop up lid. The inside of the can is a separate bin that lifts out and I throw the contents into the compost pile whenever it gets full. The chickens dig around in it and eat some stuff but usually I try to bury whatever I put in there.
If I have anything for the chickens or rabbits I call my 3 and 5 yr olds to go take it to them at that moment. They love feeding the animals treats, especially the rabbits....they love seeing the longer pieces disappear into their mouths! They also love turning over the compost pile when we add grass clippings and manure from the chicken coop/rabbit hutch/duck house and seeing all the worms...."Look mom, there's a big fat juicy one!!!"
