I'm trying to figure out how much it costs to make my soap, but I'm having a hard time figuring how to convert the 3 L bottle of olive oil to oz (weight, not volume).

Ok, I found that 1 L= 920 g=32.45 oz. I hope that's right. Now does anyone know how many lbs is in a gallon of palm oil? I'm guessing a little less than 8 lbs?

Ok, well Wiki said one gallon of olive oil weighs between 6.68 and 7.68 lbs. :/ I guess I'll just estimate!
Litres to grams/ounces depends entirely on how dense the liquid is.
Water compares straight across--1L of water = 1Kg
Oils will be different. When making soap, you need to weigh every ingredient to ensure that you have exact measurements.

Thanks Moolie. I don't have a problem measuring for the recipe, I'm just trying to figure out how much it costs to make each batch. I've got a "close enough" figure for now I think.
