shuck your corn, pour boiling water to cover, shut lid, and in 20-30 mins. you have perfect cooler corn to eat.
and it can sit in this water for a while without becoming mushy to taste.

when having a big BBQ and you run out of options, cooler corn is a good way to get'er done.

Anyone do this before? I have when camping. Works great actually!

PLUS you can take a rectangular tuperware....add trout, seasonings, lemon etc, put in tin foil, put in tuperware, put in cooler and pour boiling hot water over it...and let sit. I will steam the trout and it tastes great. I tried this only once while camping and for some reason never found the time to do it again.

just passing along some info!

Sounds neat, I'd personally avoid "cooking" in plastic (coolers are lined with polystyrene) and use a glass or metal dish as a liner though :)

oh this isn't meant for everyday cooking-- for me I have done it while camping cause we had a crew to feed, and we didn't die or anything (so far and it has been years since I have done it) :p
